Our Vision
We want to build tools that leverage artificial intelligence to help songwriters be more productive and inspired to do different things beyond their typical songwriting tendencies. If you sometimes get into a melody writing rut, then Swarmelody is for you. You can join us and start helping to train our swarm musical intelligence which will pay you back with new ideas you can use for your own.

Our Story
Our six year journey into songwriting includes working with several local writers at local Seattle area studios, several experienced writers found through online service web sites and also just on our own using books, YouTube channels, and just doing it. In that journey we discovered that there are a million different ways to approach getting inspiration for writing a new song. Some people start with a hook melody or lyric, others start with a beat, a melody, or piano or guitar riff.
But one thing that occurred to us is that song writers love to get creative and try different tools, instruments, and approaches to coming up with something new.
For beginner to intermediate level songwriters, the approaches require a good amount of time to learn theory and musicianship, so we wanted to find a fun way to be able to sit back and have machines help some of the time as one way to start new songs.
So, we decided to combine our software engineering skills with our songwriting and music theory skills to build a set of tools to help ourselves and help others to help us all to come up with something new for our songs.

Mark Bath
Founder & CEO
Mark has eighteen years of software engineering experience at one of the most well known software companies in the world. During that time he has worked on office productivity applications, online services, and digital marketing. He has always had a passion for music and recently got extremely serious about it as a main hobby outside of his work. He is currently six years into the journey of songwriting as a vocalist and collaborating with great people across the songwriting industry. Part of the purpose of working on these tools is to drive his music theory and songwriting learning process. He hopes to embody that learning in a form that he can use to inspire new melodies in a creative and rapid way. He is looking for like minded folks to join in the songwriting and software writing journey.
